We are seeking a highly organised and customer-focused Transport Officer to join our Passenger Transport Team. This role is essential in coordinating daily transport services for children and young people, ensuring they are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with council policies.

All about our Team

The Passenger Transport Operations Team ensures safe, reliable, and inclusive transport for children, young people, and vulnerable adults in Peterborough. The team manages home-to-school transport, post-16 travel assistance, and special provisions for those with SEND or exceptional circumstances. They also coordinate volunteer drivers and promote sustainable travel options like cycling and personal transport budgets. Working closely with families and schools, the team ensures transport services are efficient, equitable, and responsive to community needs.

You're a detail-oriented and dependable professional with strong administrative and IT skills. You thrive in busy environments, managing multiple tasks while maintaining excellent customer service. You're confident working with data, resolving queries, and supporting transport operations that make a real difference to children and families.
