Responsibilities
  • Ensuring full legal and safety compliance across the transport operation.
  • Promoting a culture of safety and accountability across drivers, managers, and depots.
  • Leading driver engagement, training, and development programmes.
  • Partnering with customer and internal stakeholders to improve service and find solutions.

  • A proven track record of managing large, complex transport operations.
  • National CPC / CPC for Transport Managers.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience of managing people effectively, coaching, and motivating teams.
  • Commercial acumen, including experience managing P&L and driving financial accountability.
  • Hands-on experience with Transport Management Systems and related applications (planning, maintenance, tachographs).
  • The ability to influence and build strong relationships with multiple stakeholders.
  • A track record of delivering process improvements and driving a culture of continuous improvement.
  • Flexibility and mobility to travel extensively (Midlands, North West, and some Southern sites, with overnight stays).
  • It would also be advantageous if you’ve managed multi-customer operations or worked within central transport functions, delivering innovation and scalable solutions.
