Job description

Great opportunity to work as a Transport Network Planner for our client's leading UK logistics company.

Staffline is recruiting an experienced Transport Network Planner in Telford.

The rate of pay is up to £35,000 per annum, depending on experience.

This is a permanent full-time position and office-based starting at 10am each day and working Monday to Friday.

Your Time at Work

Working as part of the Transport Team, you will provide efficient and optimal planning routes for a mixed fleet of vehicles of the pallet network. Other duties include:

- Utilise the TMS and vehicles to ensure accurate and appropriate allocation of drivers, vehicles, loads and trailers.
- Work with drivers to develop an effective relationship resulting in improved productivity
- Communicate and share plans to the transport team
- Manage staffing levels including agency staff
- Control and plan operational deliveries
- Operate to a high standard of general housekeeping and work safety

- Working knowledge of the Highway Code, EU tachograph requirements
- Great computer skills, including transport management systems
- Commercial awareness
- Working knowledge of transport operation systems
- Logistics qualification/CPC - desirable
- Great organisational skills alongside critical thinking
- Effective communication skills
- Relevant transport management experience
