Job summary

Johnsons Workwear is seeking an experienced Transport Manager to lead the Transport Department, ensuring safe, efficient delivery and collection of goods while meeting service levels and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a valid CPC and 7.5-tonne licence, with responsibility for fleet utilisation, budgets, and performance management. You will develop the team and collaborate across departments to support business growth.

Qualifications

• Must hold valid CPC licence and 7.5-tonne licence.
• Proven leadership experience in transport operations.
• Experience managing budgets and KPIs.
• Knowledge of UK transport regulations and Working Time Directive.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Transport Department to deliver safe, efficient customer deliveries and collections.
• Motivate and develop the transport team, drivers, and support staff.
• Ensure compliance with Operator's Licence, DVSA regulations, and transport law.
• Oversee fleet maintenance and vehicle inspection programmes.
• Monitor KPIs and drive continuous improvements and cost efficiencies.
