Pertemps Aylesbury is currently recruiting for a Transport Operations Manager to join our logistics company in Oxfordshire.
This role will be based in the transport department, working across the office, yard, and warehouse.
Hours: Mon-Fri 8 am-6 pm Salary: up to £36,000 (DOE)
Duties:
Being responsible for all vehicle routing throughout the day and in the evening for the following day, ensuring all routes are achievable and fit within the boundaries.
Being responsible for all vehicle maintenance, working time directive initiative, and compliance with all laws.
Providing support to drivers and supervisors and being the first point of contact for day-to-day queries.
Being responsible for health and safety, carrying out risk assessments, and participating in briefings.
Covering for both day shift and back shift periods, ensuring that all deliveries and collections are collectively scanned and labelled.
Communicating with various stakeholders within the business, responding to clients, depots, and internal staff.
Being proficient in using internal systems and Microsoft packages.
Requirements:
Transport Managers CPC
3 years of experience within transport/vehicle management
HGV driving licence
Strong leadership qualities
Competent in all Microsoft packages
