Swindon

£45,000 + £5,000 car allowance & benefits

Are you a transport management professional looking for an opportunity to use your skills and experience in a growing, successful distribution operation? MVP is partnering with an award-winning, innovative business to recruit a Transport Manager for their operational site in Swindon.

In this role, you'll proactively manage all transport operations, maximizing profitability, controlling costs and managing the operational requirements of the customer, while ensuring the highest standards of compliance to all legislative requirements. You'll develop and motivate your team to deliver a high-performing, compliant transport operation on a day to day basis.

This role will be right for you if you're someone who is passionate about continually developing and improving transport operations.

Experience & skills required:

1. Previous experience of managing transport operations, ideally gained in a customer-focused environment
2. Very strong people and team management experience and abilities - able to develop a high-performing team
3. CPC for Transport Managers / National / International CPC
4. Comprehensive knowledge of transport-related legislation - drivers' hours, WTD, employment law
5. Natural leadership skills and abilities
6. Previous experience of Transport Management Systems
7. Health & Safety - excellent current knowledge of H&S legislation and standards and strong focus on embedding a robust Health & Safety culture within your teams
8. Previous experience of operating within budgetary requirements, controlling costs
9. Passionate about delivering excellence in the operations under your control
