Transport Manager

Transport Manager - Permanent - Shrewsbury

L & C Consulting are recruiting with a small, but rapidly growing business on the outskirts of Shrewsbury for a new Transport Manager. This brand new, hands-on, transport/logistics/planning focused role will suit an experienced Transport/Planning & Logistics Manager who is looking for a role with a well-established, family-owned, financially secure business.

Duties will include (but not be limited to):

1. Allocate customer orders and plan relevant, cost-effective routes
2. Various admin duties including producing delivery notes, scanning, updating CRM etc
3. Driver de-briefs / checking timesheets etc
4. Manage fleet and drivers
5. Communicate with customers
6. Cost management
7. Manage parts and workshop/maintenance

To be considered for this opportunity, you MUST have:

• A proven background in transport/logistics/planning-based roles
• Ideally, a Transport Management CPC and a valid HGV 1 licence

You will have a stable work history, be well organized, be IT literate, and have excellent communication skills.

Hours of work: 08:00 - 17:00, Monday - Friday, with some flexibility required.

The Shrewsbury site is accessible from parts of Telford and is also commutable from Welshpool, Oswestry, Bridgnorth etc.
