Job summary

Surrey and Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust is seeking a Transport Leader to oversee the BSPS transport service, managing East Surrey and Guildford depots and ensuring high standards of patient and staff transport.

You will lead a small team and coordinate with NHS managers and private sector suppliers to deliver reliable, safe transport across the Trust's network, while maintaining strong service performance and staff development.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a transport/team in a healthcare setting.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with NHS managers and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the transport team across East Surrey and Guildford depots.
• Oversee BSPS transport service and cover Head/Deputy Head duties in their absence.
• Support the lead driver/manager and manage 25 staff daily to ensure efficient transport services.
• Supervise the Transport Depot comprising 5 drivers at Royal Surrey Foundation Trust Guildford.

BSPS transport service. To include playing a full role in the corporate leadership of the BSPS transport service. To cover the duties of the Head and Deputy Head of Transport in their absence.

To lead a team of 1 lead driver/manager at East Surrey Hospital Trust and support them in managing 25 staff on a day-to-day basis; ensuring the effective organisation and provision of transport services. Also to oversee the Transport Depot consisting of 5 drivers at Royal Surrey Foundation Trust Guildford.
