Role Overview

The main responsibility of the role is to direct and oversee transport operations and procedures, leading and coaching transport colleagues to deliver outstanding service to customers and exceed business objectives.

Role Requirements
  • Manage the day-to-day operational performance, coordinating work and responsibilities to ensure excellent service delivery and legislative compliance.
  • Plan operations to meet productivity, safety, and cost targets while ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Control workflow by giving orders, directions, and guidance to team members to meet deadlines, volume, and quality standards.
  • Monitor, check, and inspect team member work standards and productivity, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Ensure all fleet vehicles and team members comply with legal, regulatory, and contractual requirements, including drivers' hours and Working Time Directive.
  • Assist with business development and customer account management by being a proactive point of contact, resolving issues efficiently.
Candidate Requirements
  • Previous experience in transport management.
  • Proficiency with standard IT systems, including Microsoft Office.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.

The role holder will be expected to be named on the operator's license.
