You will be responsible for managing fleet operations and ensuring safety and compliance within legal regulations. Due to company expansion, my client is recruiting for a Transport Manager to join their transport team, which currently operates 5 HGVs, over 100 Light Commercial Vehicles, and 30 company cars.
As a Transport Manager, you will oversee a team of 5 people and ensure all fleet management activities are conducted safely, legally, and efficiently. You’ll manage the maintenance, allocation, hiring, buying, and utilisation of vehicles and equipment, fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and customer service.
REQUIREMENTS
To be considered for this opportunity, you must hold a minimum of 5 years of experience in fleet and transport management, including managing HGVs, vehicles, and plant equipment, and be familiar with the maintenance, repair, and servicing requirements of such fleet.
Additionally, you must hold a valid Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) and have a thorough understanding of drivers’ hours, tachograph rules, and legal compliance for transport fleet operations.
Previous experience of working within the utilities industry will be beneficial, along with experience of previously operating as a HGV driver in an earlier career.

You will be rewarded with a salary ranging from £53,000 to £58,000 (dependent on experience). In addition to this, you will be offered a car allowance, 25 days’ annual leave (plus bank holidays), healthcare cover, and access to the group pension scheme.
