Bennett and Game are currently working with one of the UK's most respected privately owned International Courier & Haulage companies, actively seeking a proven Transport Manager to manage their Night Shift operation based in Hemel Hempstead.

This is a hands-on Night Shift Transport Manager role where a valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence is essential to lead from the front and assist in managing drivers.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee all night operations
2. Improve operational efficiency and overall management
3. Assist with driving when required
4. Ensure compliance at all times
5. Manage relationships with sub-contractors
6. Prepare annual budgets
7. Perform HR duties such as recruiting, scheduling, and disciplinaries

Requirements:

• Class 2 or Class 1 HGV License - Essential
• Previous experience in the courier logistics sector (Desirable)
• Experience in a senior management position
• Willing to be hands-on and assist in other depot areas when needed
