Bennett and Game are currently working with one of the UK's most respected privately owned International Courier & Haulage companies who are actively seeking a proven Transport Manager to manage their Night Shift operation based in their Hemel Hempstead location.

This is a hands-on Night Shift Transport Manager vacancy where a valid Class 1 or Class 2 HGV Licence is essential to lead from the front and assist and manage drivers.

Transport Manager Position Overview

• Oversee all night operations taking place
• Improve the efficiency of the operations and overall management
• Assist with driving (when required)
• Ensure compliance is being followed at all times
• Manage relationships with sub-contractors
• Prepare annual budgets
• Perform HR duties such as recruiting, scheduling and disciplinaries

Transport Manager Position Requirements

• Class 2 or 1 HGV License - Essential
• Previous experience working in the courier logistics sector (Desirable)
• Experience in a senior management position
• Willing to be hands on & aid in other areas of the depot when needed
• Managers CPC (Desirable)

Transport Manager Position Remuneration

• Salary 40K - 50K DOE
• Company pension scheme
• 5 in 2-night shift (weekend work will be expected on rota)
• 21:00 - 05:00 working hours
• 28 days holiday (including bank holidays)
