Are you a hands-on, CPC-qualified transport leader who's ready for your next big move? We're working with a leading food business that's on the lookout for a Transport Manager to take the reins of their busy distribution operation.

What's the role about?
This is a key leadership role where you'll be managing a team of shift managers and drivers, ensuring everything runs smoothly from site to customer. You'll play a big part in making sure deliveries go out safely, on time, and in line with food safety and compliance standards.

You'll also be focused on improving how things work-whether that's cutting fuel costs, increasing delivery performance, or simply making day-to-day transport more efficient.

What you'll be doing:
Leading from the front - Coaching and supporting your shift managers and teams to hit performance targets and grow in their roles.

Running the operation - Overseeing daily transport and making sure everything gets delivered on time, every time.

Driving compliance - Making sure vehicles, drivers, and operations stay fully compliant with transport and food safety regulations.

Putting customers first - Keeping service levels high and working fast to solve any issues that pop up.

Reporting & KPIs - Tracking key numbers like fuel usage, delivery times, and driver performance-and using data to drive decisions.

Collaborating - Working closely with teams across the business (like warehouse, sales, and customer service) to keep everything running like clockwork.

Looking for better ways - Always spotting opportunities to improve routes, reduce costs, and make the operation more efficient.

What we're looking for:
A CPC in Transport Management (must-have!)

Solid experience running transport/logistics operations-ideally in food, FMCG or another fast-paced sector

A confident team leader who can motivate and develop others

Someone who understands planning, compliance, and getting the most out of a fleet

Great problem-solving skills and the ability to stay calm under pressure

Comfortable using transport/logistics systems and reports
