A leading logistics solutions provider based in Surrey is seeking a Transport Manager to lead the transport department. Responsible for managing a fleet of over 100 vehicles and a team of 25 staff, you will ensure compliance with legislation, maintain fleet maintenance standards, and enhance operational efficiency. The ideal candidate will hold an International CPC and have substantial experience in a similar role. Competitive salary and benefits are offered, with 28 days holiday and a company car.

Michaal Page has partnered with an industry leading Logistics Solutions Provider based in Surrey who are now looking to add a Transport Manager to their team. After a busy and successful period they are looking to sustain their growth and ensure they continue operational excellence that is delivered to their customers.

Job Description

As Transport Manager you will report to the Head of department and can expect to have the following responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the transport department, including a team of drivers and transport coordinators.
  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation (including DVSA and Operator's Licence conditions).
  • Maintain high standards of fleet maintenance, scheduling inspections, MOTs, and services in line with company and legal requirements.
  • Work closely with production and operations teams to deliver responsive, reliable transport support for live filming schedules.
  • Manage driver hours, tachograph compliance and maintain accurate, auditable records.
  • Oversee fleet utilisation, route planning and vehicle allocation to optimise efficiency and minimise downtime.
  • Develop and implement transport policies and procedures to ensure safety, efficiency and continuous improvement.
  • Liaise with external partners including leasing companies, maintenance providers, and compliance auditors.
  • Support the introduction of new fleet technologies and sustainable transport initiatives.

The Successful Applicant

The successful Transport Manager who will live within a commutable distance of the site in Surrey will come with the following skill set:

  • International CPC - Required
  • Experience managing a fleet of 100+ vehicles - Required
  • Experience managing a team of 25+ staff - Required
  • NEBOSH - Desired
  • Driver assessor/Driver trainer experience and qualifications attached to this - Nice to have

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am-5pm
  • 1 in 5 weekends on call
