WR Environmental in Birmingham seeks an experienced Transport Manager to oversee day-to-day operations for a fleet of HGVs. Manage drivers, plan collections and liaise with customers on waste services. Role requires strong CPC credentials and experience in fleet maintenance.

Qualifications

• Transport Manager CPC required.
• Experience with Heavy Goods Vehicle operations and routing.
• Experience handling fleet maintenance and MOTs/servicing.
• Experience supervising drivers.

Responsibilities

• Schedule, plan and manage day-to-day customer collections.
• Liaise with customers regarding waste collections.
• Monitor fleet maintenance; arrange MOTs and servicing.
• Liaise with and manage drivers; input KPI data and paperwork.

Transport Manager

Location: Birmingham, UK

Salary: Up to £40,000pa (DOE)

Working Hours: Full Time: Monday - Friday (6:30am - 4pm)

My client is looking for an experienced Transport Manager to join their team based in Birmingham, to manage and support drivers and the fleet of HGV Class 1 and 2 vehicles.

Key Responsibilities:

• To schedule, plan and manage day-to-day customer collections.
• Liaise with customers regarding waste collections.
• Monitor fleet maintenance requirements, arranging MOTs and Servicing.
• Liaise with and manage drivers.
• Daily input of KPI's, delivery and collection issues, preparing paperwork.

Requirements:

• Transport Managers CPC
• Previous experience working with and routing Heavy Goods Vehicles
• Previous experience handling fleet management and the booking of MOTs and Servicing
• Previous experience speaking with and managing drivers
• Driver's CPC (Class 1 or 2) is desirable
• Previous experience working for a Waste Management or Skip hire company is desirable
