We have an exciting opportunity for a Transport Manager to lead our logistics teams at our Preston site. The role involves ensuring the efficient, safe, and legally compliant operation of transport activities and leading a team of nine.

Key Responsibilities

• Regulatory Compliance: Ensuring all vehicles adhere to UK transport regulations, safety laws, and environmental policies. Keeping updated with regulation changes and implementing necessary updates.
• Fleet Management: Overseeing maintenance, servicing, and repairs; managing vehicle inspections and certifications.
• Driver Management: Recruiting, training, supervising drivers, ensuring compliance with policies and safety regulations.
• Operational Efficiency: Developing strategies to optimize schedules, reduce costs, and improve service. Managing route planning for timely deliveries and fuel efficiency.
• Health and Safety: Ensuring safety-focused operations, investigating incidents, and implementing corrective actions.
• Reporting and Budgeting: Monitoring performance, managing budgets to ensure cost-efficiency without compromising safety or service.

Skills, Knowledge & Expertise

• Experience as a Transport Manager with a CPC qualification
• Full UK driving licence
