Transport & Logistics Planner

£36,940 plus bonus
Monday - Friday, 8am to 5pm

We are seeking a Transport & Logistics Planner to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with existing transport subcontractors and customers, as well as bring new partners into the business. This role is pivotal in supporting the company's growth.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage import/export processes, ensuring compliance with codes and paperwork.
2. Maintain and develop relationships with existing haulier partners and customers.
3. Regularly review performance metrics.
4. Onboard new customers and subcontractors.
5. Allocate loads daily to optimize margins.
6. Schedule deliveries to meet customer expectations.
7. Monitor delivery performance and communicate delays.
8. Work towards operational KPIs.
9. Keep all information within TMS accurate and up-to-date.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Has a background in transport (essential).
2. Possesses strong relationships with subcontractors (desirable).
3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
4. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
5. Knowledge of export/import procedures and customs documentation.
6. Focused, target-driven, with a good understanding of market rates.
