Job Description:

TRS Staffing Solutions has a fantastic new role for a Transport & Installation Engineer at a major Offshore Wind Farm Developer. The role involves leading and coordinating T&I engineering work related to WTG foundations on the offshore wind farm.

The Role

• Develop marine logistics strategies from WTG foundation fabrication locations to marshalling facilities and transportation to the field for installation.
• Provide T&I input into the WTG foundation design process.
• Identify suitable installation vessels capable of installing the proposed structures.
• Develop installation strategies and assess contractors' proposed methodologies for efficiency and suitability.
• Select long-haul HTV vessels.

Your Profile

• Collaborate with the Structures team during Concept/FEED/Detailed Design phases to ensure T&I requirements are incorporated into the foundation design.
• Design lift points and installation criteria.
• Assess grillage & SF design, tooling requirements, and interface with the WTG team to understand parameters like hub heights, water depths, and leg penetration.
• Coordinate with the Geotech team on foundation installation and geotechnical requirements, understanding associated risks and installation methods.
• Maintain ongoing communication with the T&I supply chain during the design process to ensure methodologies align with the design.
• Review contractor methods for transportation and installation.
