Shift patterns: 4 on, 4 off working 7am-7pm

Location: Greater Manchester, M26 2XH

The ideal candidate should have a comprehensive knowledge of supply chain supervisory practices and a solid understanding of warehouse procedures, including storing goods, dispatching orders, and tracking transportation vehicles.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

1. Supervise, implement, and coordinate productivity by communicating job expectations to direct reports, ensuring all deadlines are safely met within set timeframes, while maintaining high standards of excellence.
2. Ensure drivers are compliant with legal requirements on a daily and weekly basis and facilitate clear communication between all functions within the transport department and warehouse team.
3. Lead the work activities of drivers and the transport clerical team, providing effective leadership, communication, motivation, training, and development.
4. Carry out HR management tasks such as staff reviews, appraisals, absence management, and disciplinaries.
