Contract Type: 12 Month Secondment (Full-Time)
Shift patterns: Any 5 days from 7 earlies, days and lates (including every 1 in 4 weekends. Saturday OR Sunday)
Location: Motherwell – ML4 3NW

DHL, an award-winning leading supply chain business, is seeking a Transport First Line Manager to play a vital role coordinating our daily warehouse and distribution requirements.

WHAT DOES THE ROLE ENTAIL?

As part of your normal duties, whilst maintaining excellent health and safety practices, you will:

1. Rotational shift pattern: 06:00-14:00 / 10:00-18:30 & 14:00-22:30 with 1 in 4 Saturdays - 06:00-14:30
2. Be a 21st Century Manager leading and managing drivers
3. Ensure safe, legal and efficient execution of transport operations during a duty shift to meet network SLA's/KPI's
4. Be responsible for driver and fleet legal compliance during shift in accordance with DHL Asset Management Centre of Excellence standards
5. Have a clear understanding of Roles & Responsibilities applicable to your role and to your team
6. Act as the point of contact for all drivers during your duty shift

1. Management experience in a Transport environment
2. Experience preferably in multi-user and chilled operations
3. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
4. Supervisory skills - managing individual performance/absenteeism/conflict and development
