Job summary

Cyngor Sir Ceredigion County Council is seeking a Transport Driver to join the Transport Department in Aberystwyth. You will drive to transport children and elderly or disabled clients, and maintain records as required.

The role requires a valid D1 driving licence, completion of a DBS check, and candidates must be over 21 with over 2 years of driving experience. A supportive team and flexible working arrangements are offered.

We are looking for a Transport Driver to work from: Glanyrafon - Aberystwyth.

Responsibilities

• Driving activities related to the transport of children.

• Completion of all relevant electronic and paper‑based records related to the role.
• Assessments of clients with the support of the Senior Driver and / or Transport Co‑ordinator.
• Work to support the wider Ceredigion County Council Unit functions as commensurate with the level of the post.

Requirements

Due to the nature of the post the successful candidate will need to hold a valid D1 driving licence and be subject to an appropriate Disclosure and Barring Service check. Post holder must be over the age of 21 and must have held a driving licence for over 2 years.
