Transport Stores Assistant

Scale 4, £26,106 - £28,653 per annum

Job Purpose

To assist in providing an effective Transport stores service on behalf of the Constabulary.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Assist in maintaining the Transport stores, including receiving, unloading, checking, stock management, and issuing goods.
  2. Raise orders to suppliers using the TRANMAN fleet management system.
  3. Assist with the delivery and collection of motor parts, equipment, and vehicles.
  4. Handle telephone queries and visitors to the Stores.
  5. Perform clerical tasks such as record maintenance, filing, and photocopying.
  6. Keep the Stores section clean and organized.
Qualifications and Experience

Educated to QCF Level 2 (4 passes including English and Maths) or equivalent work experience. Knowledge of motor vehicle layout, parts, and systems. Experience in stock control and using computer systems for inventory management (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
