What you’ll do on a typical day:

  • Support the Site Manager with adherence to all compliance and legal obligations during your shift.
  • Liaise with stakeholders to ensure the effective use of the vehicles and subcontractors.
  • Ensure VOR / Defect management processes are followed and all logs are up to date.

  • Ensure that details of vehicle accidents are escalated to line management.

What you need to succeed at XPO:

  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment – no two days will be the same, and you need to think on your feet.

  • Proven experience in transport and a good understanding of compliance, driver hours, and incident investigations.
  • Computer literacy for emailing, dispatching drivers, and compiling a daily handover.
  • Transport experience dealing with C+E drivers is beneficial.
  • Good geographical knowledge of the UK.
  • Knowledge of Health and Safety requirements.
