Job summary

A staffing agency is seeking a Transport Coordinator for a night shift role in Slough. The successful candidate will ensure efficient service delivery while coordinating between day and night shifts. Responsibilities include handling transport plans and adjustments, requiring strong communication skills and at least 2 years of relevant experience. This permanent position is 4on 4off, starting at 19:00.

Qualifications

• 2 years experience in transport planning required.
• 1 year experience with EU to UK Customs and ETSF procedures.
• 2 years preferred experience in air cargo and HGV driver management.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the plan for the night and next day is followed through.
• Communicate necessary adjustments to the oncoming Day shift supervisor.

TRANSPORT CO-ORDINATOR (NIGHT SHIFT)

Vanta Staffing are recruiting for a Transport Coordinator (Nights) to work for our client based in Slough

We are looking for an experienced Transport Coordinator with a minimum of 2 years relevant experience. The ideal candidate will be efficient, competent, and committed member of the Team. Working collaboratively with the overall operations team to deliver the shared aim of consistently providing excellent service delivery, to our customers. This shift is key to our on-going service provision, as you will be the main link between the day and the night shift, then into the following day. The shift is a cross-over, as you will be heavily involved with the plan for the coming night and also the next day. Then, you will ensure that the plan is seen-through, making any necessary adjustments required, before passing this on in a detailed handover to the oncoming Day shift supervisor.

This is a permanent role working 4on 4off shifts, starting at 19:00 hours and finishing at 07:00 hours the following morning. There will also be opportunity to work overtime.

• Transport Planning: 2 years experience required
• EU to UK Customs and ETSF procedures: 1 year experience required
• Air Cargo and HGV driver management: 2 years experience preferred
• Good communication skills, ability to work alone & as part of a team.
