Job description

We are recruiting a Transport Coordinator to join our market leading Transport Team at our Distribution Centre based in Harlow. As the Transport Coordinator, you will ensure that drivers are fully briefed and de-briefed. Ensure the delivery schedule is resourced to meet agreed requirements and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) by providing effective management, control of processes, good communication, great leadership and motivation, and training and development.

Shift pattern 4 on 4 off. 6pm-6am

Your Impact and Responsibilities…
  • Directing daily activities to ensure a safe, secure, clean, and fair work environment for colleagues.
  • Day-to-day management of Driver Colleagues.
  • Planning, managing, and adjusting staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
  • Liaising with on-site fleet providers to ensure we have full vehicle availability.
  • Supporting the shunters in ensuring appropriate driver and fleet checks are taking place.
  • Reviewing details from driver de-briefs and an issue log.
  • Managing company policies regarding Driver infringements and Accidents.
Skills and Knowledge…
