Job summary

Gist is seeking a Transport Coordinator for our Bristol Portbury operation, part of the M&S Group. You will act as the first point of contact for drivers, manage briefs and debriefs, and contribute to cost and peak planning to keep deliveries on time.

You’ll use your admin experience in transport, with strong Word/Excel skills, to maintain payroll, scheduling and export compliance while delivering strong customer service across teams.

Qualifications

• Experience of administration in a busy transport environment.
• Experience of working with Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Act as the first point of contact for drivers, managing briefs, debriefs, and resolving queries effectively.
• Ensure legal O-licence compliance and deliver operational excellence across cost, service, and peak planning.
• Provide exceptional customer service, resolving and escalating live operational issues where required.
• Monitor route performance, ensuring timely delivery, processing supplier queries and escalating issues to the Team Manager when appropriate.
• Manage daily administrative tasks efficiently, including payroll, holidays, Kronos exceptions, and scheduling.
• Support admin and export, ensuring export compliance.

We are looking for a Transport Coordinator to join our team in Bristol Portbury. As a Transport Coordinator you'll play a key role at the centre of our operation, where every action you take contributes to our customers enjoying their favourite M&S food.

SHIFT PATTERN & LOCATION

• Monday - Friday (flexibility is required to cover alternative shift patterns on occasions)
• Night shift: 18:00pm - 2:30am
