Description

Are you a motivated, organised individual seeking an exciting and rewarding opportunity in a fast-paced environment? Do you have excellent knowledge of the local area? An exciting opportunity has arisen within our collections department for a Transport Planner/ Co-ordinator. The Transport Planner/ Co-ordinator will take a key role delivering Enva's services day to day by route efficiency of rollonoff and skip vehicles to ensure maximum productivity of drivers to deliver the highest level of customer service.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Creating an effective and efficient daily transport plan, ensuring that all customer orders are assigned to the appropriate trucks and to requested access times.
  2. Proactively monitor progression of the delivery plan, applying changes where necessary to ensure that all customer orders are completed on the day.
  3. Take accountability for any day-to-day problems, liaising with drivers, customers, and internal departments to achieve positive resolutions.
  4. Perform end of shift daily de-briefs with drivers to capture and communicate specific information relative to their daily activity.
  5. Update internal systems thoroughly and accurately to ensure that all issues are captured, and the completed orders can be processed and billed promptly.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  1. Good knowledge of planning and route efficiency techniques.
  2. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to act quickly and take action to avoid failure.
  3. Excellent communication skills and be able to influence drivers, customers, and internal departments to achieve desired outcomes.
  4. Excellent attention to accuracy and detail.
  5. At least 1 year's experience as a Transport Planner/ Co-ordinator working in a fast-paced service delivery environment.
  6. Computer literate with good knowledge of Microsoft Software products.
  7. Knowledge of Working Time and Driving Legislation.

You will work 45 hours per week with an hours lunch break, on a rolling 2 shift pattern:

W1 – 6am – 4pm
W2 - 8am – 6pm
Additional hours as required during peak season (Saturday morning rota) to maintain the safe and efficient running of the transport department.
