Job description

Urban Logistics has an exciting opportunity to join a multinational transport business as a Transport Coordinator.

Location:

Basingstoke, Hampshire.

Salary:

GBP33,000 per annum

Job Type:

Permanent, Full-time, Monday to Friday, shifts between 07:00 and 18:00. Overtime may be required during busy periods. 100% office-based.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity to join Urban Logistics, a subsidiary of the KION Group, a leading provider of forklift trucks, warehouse equipment, and supply chain solutions. You will be responsible for delivering excellent customer service by providing clear directions to the delivery team and liaising with both internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manage and track a team of drivers to meet customer requirements.
2. Assist drivers in resolving on-road issues.
3. Manage third-party suppliers.
4. Act as the key interface between daily operations, drivers, and customers, ensuring high levels of customer service.
5. Use our bespoke Transport Management System (TMS) to process, arrange, and send routes to drivers.
6. Perform operational administration as required.
7. Call customers to arrange collections and deliveries.
8. Perform any other duties as requested.

Experience Required:

• Experience communicating with customers and suppliers.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Teams, and Excel.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.

• Highly adaptable and able to work under pressure by prioritizing tasks.
• Confident and professional telephone manner with the ability to build positive relationships with customers, suppliers, and colleagues.
