Position:

Transport Control Tower Manager

Contract Type: Permanent – 40 hours per week

About the role:

Manage the 24/7 Hub Campus Control Tower operations, including local Linehaul, Collection operations, driver/shunter groups, and Transport Control Tower functions, aligning with the company's core values and mission statement. Oversee and coordinate transportation activities, motivate and develop the management team, and ensure high standards of service to internal and external customers.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements for transport activities.
• Manage compliance team activities, working with Fleet Management and Maintenance.
• Manage risk assessments, SOPs, and strategies to minimize transportation risks.
• Ensure drivers have up-to-date qualifications and follow safety regulations.
• Schedule resources to meet KPI metrics within the balanced scorecard.
• Communicate with customers, oversee route planning, and load scheduling.
• Support onboarding of new business and service levels with commercial teams.
• Oversee Yard Management System development and operation, including the Shunter group.
• Signatory to company O Licence for Campus Sites.

Ideal Candidate:

• 5+ years of team leadership experience
• Transport Manager CPC qualification
• 5+ years in transport/operations, including fleet or logistics management
• Experience with Yard Management Systems (YMS)
