Transportation Associate Programme (TAP) is part of EU TOM and Amazon Transportation Services. TAP scope is to execute shunting and short distance over the road driving with Amazon Associates drivers. TAP is looking for an experienced Transport Compliance Manager with a proven record of delivering compliance in transportation operations across multiple sites.

About the role

You will be the responsible and accountable leader for driving compliance of TAP Operations across multiple regions, defining a clear vision to ensure compliance in all its elements (people, process, vehicles), and building a path to successfully deliver it through collaboration with Transport Managers and Support Functions.

Key job responsibilities

  • Impart a positive compliance culture, instill ownership, and foster high collaboration across teams.
  • Be named in the Operator License of each traffic area and act as the responsible person regarding the Operator License (O License).
  • Partner with license holders to identify compliance gaps and opportunities.
  • Drive all compliance-related topics, improve compliance performance and governance.
  • Define a clear vision for TAP compliance and build a pathway to achieve it, covering all elements (process, people, vehicles).
  • Coordinate resources towards the common vision and manage efforts across teams.
  • Own lessons learned and drive improvements in compliance activities.
  • Work with cross-functional teams and uphold Amazon’s high standards of process quality.
  • Strive to improve and streamline processes, identify root causes quickly.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and promote best practices.
  • Find practical solutions to complex problems without sacrificing quality.
  • Think analytically about project management.
  • Support rollout and implementation of new systems/processes, gather feedback.
  • Communicate daily metrics and report exceptions.
  • Participate in daily operations calls to report team performance.
  • Require extensive travel within regions.
  • Work from Monday to Friday on day shifts.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • A degree.
  • Experience in compliance program management, legal, governance, audit, risk/loss prevention, or similar.
  • Valid Transport Manager Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) according to VERORDNUNG (EG) No. 1071/2009.
  • Prior experience in transportation industry and compliance.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience with SQL and Excel.
  • Experience in defining program requirements, leveraging data and metrics to drive improvements.
