Job description

Foulger Transport is recruiting a Transport Compliance Manager to join their team at their site in Snetterton. The role involves supervising and maintaining full compliance with all Health & Safety regulations for individuals, equipment, and the site, in accordance with internal and external standards. The manager will also oversee compliance with EU Drivers Hours Regulations and Working Time Regulations.

Working hours and benefits:

  • Monday - Friday (Saturdays may be required)
  • 45 hours per week
  • Salary: 40 - 48k per annum

Key responsibilities:

  • Monitor and assist employees to ensure tasks are completed safely and in compliance with regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records for internal and FORS audits.
  • Train new employees on health & safety and safe working practices.
  • Promote health & safety initiatives within the workplace.
  • Keep abreast of legislation affecting the business and ensure compliance with O License requirements.
  • Prepare reports for the group and maintain data accuracy.
  • Report and review incidents, update the HSE portal.
  • Deliver health & safety training, including CPD.
  • Ensure data security in compliance with GDPR.
  • Monitor driver hours, Working Time, and tachograph infringements.
  • Utilize telematics to monitor driver behavior and conduct de-briefs.

Requirements:

  • IOSH certification
  • FORS Practitioner (advantageous)
  • International CPC (advantageous)
  • In-depth knowledge of Health & Safety legislation
  • Knowledge of transport, warehousing, and plant legislation
  • Understanding of Highway Code, tachograph requirements, and transport regulations
  • Operational logistics experience
  • Experience in audit preparation and risk assessments
