Job Description:
Our Newton Abbot site has an exciting opportunity for a Transport Compliance Coordinator to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Salary: £27,000 per annum.
Working hours: Tuesday-Saturday, 8am-5pm.
The purpose of a Transport Compliance Coordinator is to support the Newton Abbot Operational Management team in proactively managing all Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality items, including fleet and operator license compliance.
Key Duties of a Transport Compliance Coordinator:
- Ensure all legal and statutory requirements are strictly complied with.
- Ensure all practices follow Company policies, processes, and standards.
- Conduct internal audits to demonstrate compliance and implement improvement actions where necessary.
- Liaise with other sites and the fleet department to ensure equipment availability for vehicle servicing compliance.
- Follow Company Policy and procedures related to Motor Accidents.
- Investigate and escalate customer store issues related to lost cages or delivery problems.
- Participate in depot meetings, chairing where appropriate, especially in H&S and SHEQ project meetings.
- Produce accurate KPIs on performance levels.
- Conduct accident investigations within agreed timeframes and implement corrective actions.
- Support depot operational teams in identifying trends, training needs, and risk management.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Health & Safety Legislation and good working practices is advantageous.
- Full driving license.
- Experience within a transport environment.
- PC literate with a good working knowledge of MS Office.
- Good time management skills and problem-solving ability.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Self-motivated and proactive team player.
- Keen eye for detail and a methodical approach to work.
