Job description

Transport Coordinator Nights - Droitwich

We are currently recruiting for a full-time transport coordinator on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, 18:00-06:00, for our busy depot in Droitwich.

Immediate start for the successful candidate.

Salary: £38,447 per annum

Your tasks would include:

  • Responsible for the daily driver briefings and debriefings, ensuring all improvement opportunities are identified and implemented through PMS (driver performance improvements).
  • Promote and embed the Muller safety culture through the use of STAR cards, conduct safety sweeps, and fully support all accident/incident investigations.
  • Maintain the site Run folder, ensuring all run changes are communicated.
  • Follow breakdown management and recovery procedures for all MMI vehicles.
  • Control site assets (GKNs, trolleys, handheld devices).
  • Drive operational excellence by implementing improvement opportunities and tracking initiatives.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of all work instructions and SOPs, ensuring adherence.
  • Manage service level reporting, including customer service, shorts, and late reporting.
  • Ensure resource allocation is adequate, reviewed regularly, and all changes are communicated, with drivers complying with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Take ownership of the site fuel master key and monitor all usage.
  • Coordinate vehicle servicing with the garage team.
  • Manage the Daily Tacho Master system, ensuring driver compliance with legal requirements.
  • Oversee trailer checks, including temperature monitoring and audits.
  • Manage cross-dock operations.
  • Maintain regular AS400 housekeeping.
  • Promote and display MMI behaviours.
  • Manage 3PL relationships.
