Job description

Job: Transport Co-ordinator
Location: Leeds
Type: Contract to 28thMarch 2026
Pay Rate: £23.71 per hour
Hours: Part Time with possibility of going full time in October / November – Currently 2 days a week, with a possibility of becoming full time from October/November.Hours can be spread over 4 days.

Job Specification:
We are required to appoint a Transport Coordination Officer (TCO) to liaise with the overarching TCO appointed by National Grid.

Duties include:
Required to have a Delivery Management Plan (DMS) in place to be agreed with the client.
DMS to control delivery of materials and equipment minimise the number of construction vehicles.
Required to provide information packs to drivers on the project. These will need to contain the below.
HGV restrictions;
Construction routes;
Non-compliance guidance;
Complaints procedure;
CTMP protocols and indications required for all contractors including a code of good practice;
Guidance on standard communication procedures between contractors and site; and CTMP contacts (emergency and non-emergency)
Management of CTMP and Enforcements
The TCO’s will need to complete monitoring as necessary to ensure compliance.
To ensure compliance the following are required:
Site inductions for contractors, briefings on the obligations to the clients standards, Delivery Management System (DMS ) briefing, driver inductions and compliance guidance.
Experienced in transport management and a Transport Management CPC qualification or training to attain this.
Ideally, they should have or be working towards CPC Managers qualification.
