The Role...

We currently have an exciting fixed term opportunity for an experienced Transport Co-ordinator to join our team. Reporting to the Assistant Operations Manager, the successful applicant will support the management of home-to-school transport routes, in and around London, for children and adults with special educational needs. The nature of our work will require the candidate to demonstrate an understanding of disability issues and ensure the service is delivered with a patient and a level-headed attitude.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Assistant Operations Manager in the delivery of full transport services as required and using relevant computer-based software.
  • Line manage operational staff, ensuring timesheets are completed and entered accurately to Payroll.
  • Monitor driving and passenger assistant staffing to ensure a full complement of staff are available at any one time.
  • Communicate with contractual clients in a patient, informative and professional manner.
  • Communicate with Parents and Carers in an understanding and caring manner.
  • Ensure vehicle defects are reported in line with Company policies and procedures.
  • Ensure all communication equipment is utilised correctly.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

About You...

  • Possess strong IT skills
  • A strong communicator, both written and verbally.
  • Fantastic organisational skills, and the ability to work under pressure.
