Job description

Overview: Full time, permanent position (4 on 4 off pattern days and nights)

Shift: Days: 7am - 7pm / Nights: 7pm - 7am

As a Transport Coordinator, you will be responsible for planning, organising, and managing the work of Drivers and their routes. Your goal is to ensure that deliveries are completed in line with organisational standards, reaching customers on time and in perfect condition. This role includes fully debriefing Drivers to maintain the highest level of customer care. A key aspect of the position is overseeing efficient route planning to achieve timely deliveries and appropriately escalating any issues.

You will be responsible for:
  1. Actively manage vehicle availability through defect management, vehicle utilisation and ensuring planned routing is adhered to.
  2. Building strong working relationships both internally and externally.
  3. Monitor all routes and escalate issues to the Team Manager on shift where appropriate.
  4. Manage time effectively to ensure tasks are completed within the set time frame.
  5. Monitor Driver's hours to ensure compliance at all times.
What will you need to succeed?
  1. Experience in administration within a busy transport environment
  2. Proficiency in PC usage (minimum Word and Excel).
  3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  4. Focus on efficiency, accuracy and timely service
