Job description

Transport Co-ordinator
Location: Cardiff, CF3 2ER
Shifts: 08:00 - 17:00
Pay Rate: 28k - 30k a year

We are looking for Transport Co-ordinator to join our team in Cardiff on a temporary ongoing basis and possibly a permanent position for the right candidate!

Our client is a third-party provider of transportation and logistics services that offers a range of services from, Drayage, Global freight forwarding & Full truckload transport. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and works with customers to create action plans to reduce emissions

Key Responsibilities:

  • Scheduling driver runs and communicating daily work plans
  • Managing service and MOT bookings; updating maintenance planners
  • Monitoring vehicle compliance (VOR, defects, driver checks)
  • Ensuring safety procedures are followed and incidents are logged (Evotix system)
  • Tracking driver performance and system use (Optifleet, Vue, ePod, TC75)
  • Liaising with third-party contractors, agencies, and site maintenance teams
  • Attending daily operations calls and supporting planning updates
  • Logging timesheets, absences, and quality events


Requirements:

  • Experience in a transport or logistics environment (ideally with fleet/driver management exposure)
  • Strong communication skills - verbal, written, and digital
  • Ability to work with operational systems like Optifleet, Vue, or similar
  • Detail-focused with a proactive approach to safety and compliance
  • A natural team player who thrives under pressure
