Join Our Team as a Transport Coordinator at Bridgwater Depot

We are hiring a Transport Coordinator to join our team at the Bridgwater Depot, within the Mller Milk & Ingredients Distribution Business.

This full-time, permanent role involves coordinating transport operations to ensure value and compliance.

  • Contract: Full-time / Permanent
  • Location: Bridgwater Depot
  • Shift: Day shift 0600 - 1800, 4 on 4 off

Role & Responsibilities

  • Manage and allocate resources for daily cream delivery schedules, ensuring delivery windows are met and communicated to Trading.
  • Manage and allocate resources for collection/delivery schedules, ensuring delivery windows are met and communicated to Trading.
  • Monitor and measure turnaround times for milk and cream schedules.
  • Manage daily backload schedules, optimizing route efficiency.
  • Allocate subcontractor haulage support for reload operations.
  • Supervise on-site fuel bunkering deliveries.
  • Manage vehicle swabbing data, reporting, and escalation of Out-of-Spec (OOS) results.
  • Support all functions—administration, driving, and management—by stepping into different roles as needed.
  • Assist in compliance audits and gather evidence for inspections.
  • Understand how individual actions impact site/business goals and the bottom line.
  • Participate in site audits, DTAS, and off-site risk assessments.
  • Implement contingency plans when required.
  • Engage actively in KPI reporting.
  • Maintain professional communication with all contacts.

Relevant experience in a similar role is desirable. The candidate should work well independently and as part of a team, manage deadlines, prioritize workload, and demonstrate a positive attitude and self-motivation. Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach are essential.
