Job summary

A leading recruitment agency is looking for a Transport Clerk to join a busy Distribution Centre in Bristol. The role involves allocating vehicles, monitoring deliveries, and managing administrative tasks in a transport office. Successful candidates will have strong communication and administrative skills, as well as the ability to work under pressure. PAYE rates range from £12.60 to £18.63 per hour depending on the day and duration of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Allocate vehicle and load details to drivers using a daily planner.
  • Monitor the accuracy of deliveries.
  • Administer delivery documentation.
  • Handle telephone enquiries from customers and drivers.
  • Support administrative duties as required.

Overview

Staffline is recruiting for a Transport Clerk to join our client's Distribution Centre in Emerald Park, Bristol.

Your schedule

You will be working on a 5 out of 7 day rota with hours 0600-1400 or 1400-2200. You will be working in a busy transport distribution office, so transport knowledge is required.

Pay and benefits

PAYE pay rates for the first 12 weeks are as follows: Monday to Friday: £12.60 per hour; Saturday & Sunday: £15.73 per hour.

After 12 weeks the PAYE pay rates are: Monday to Friday: £15.68 per hour; Saturday & Sunday: £18.63 per hour.

Key Information

Full training will be provided.

Key Responsibilities
  • Allocate vehicle and load details to drivers using a daily planner.
  • Monitor the accuracy and completion of deliveries.
  • Administer delivery documentation during drivers' debrief.
  • Handle telephone enquiries from customers, drivers, and internal departments.
  • Support additional administrative duties as required by the Transport Shift Manager and operations team.

Desirable but Not Essential
  • Familiarity with Microlise.
