Job summary

DPDgroup is hiring a Transport Clerk to join the Traffic office team in the United Kingdom. You will track transport routes, verify driver arrivals, issue routes and print paperwork, and perform licence checks to ensure O Licence compliance.

You will support Transport Shift Managers and Operations Managers with administration, and contribute to comprehensive reporting and data analysis in a fast-paced environment. The role requires clear communication and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Track transport routes and ensure drivers are present for duties and trailers arrive at Hub sites as planned.
• Issue routes to drivers and print route paperwork.
• Perform licence checks for agency drivers to maintain O Licence compliance.
• Provide administrative support to Transport Shift Managers and Operations Managers.
• Undertake reporting and data analysis; adapt to a fast-paced environment.
• Communicate updates across departments (Hub, Network Operations, Transport, Security).
• Follow company policies and safety requirements.

Job description

As a Transport Clerk you will be part of the Traffic office team and are responsible for tracking our transport routes ensuring that our HGV drivers have arrived for duties and that trailers will arrive at our Hub sites as planned. Key Tasks/Areas of Responsibility:

• Working with other departments such as Hub and Network Operations, Transport and Security ensuring that updates on arrivals or any issues are communicated as quickly as possible in order to keep our operation running smoothly
• Completing licence checks for agency drivers and ensuring we remain compliant in line with O Licence Regulations
• General administrative duties such as answering telephone queries, printing route paperwork and maps
• Issuing routes to drivers
• Assisting the Transport Shift Managers and Operations Managers with any further administration
• To undertake comprehensive reporting and data analysis. Adapts to fast paced and changing working environment
