Job Description:
- Manage vehicle fleet, including service schedules, bookings, record keeping, daily checks, driver compliance, cleanliness, preventative maintenance, and tracking software.
- Make delivery bookings with customers and coordinate with the customer service team regarding schedules.
- Plan routes and loads for outbound deliveries.
- Ensure all outbound order documentation is correctly prepared and returned to the accounts department, including proof of delivery for invoicing.
- Verify outbound goods against customer requirements and work orders.
- Support logistics for waste material and materials movement between sites and storage facilities.
- Manage a team of drivers, forklift drivers, and yard operatives, including scheduling and holiday planning.
- Handle incoming loads, coordinate with other managers, and perform administrative tasks such as stock booking and delivery confirmation.
- Participate in daily production meetings, liaise with customer service and production teams to ensure timely deliveries.
- Maintain an organized dispatch area and oversee the loading of export containers, including documentation.
- Coordinate with third-party couriers as needed.
- Ensure daily housekeeping and enforce health and safety policies across relevant areas.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Experience in a similar role is essential.
- Full clean driving license is required.
- FLT license is advantageous.
- Proficiency in IT; knowledge of ERP systems like Microsoft Dynamics (training provided) is beneficial.
