Job description

Are you an experienced Transport and Delivery Coordinator living in the Halifax area?

Are you looking for a Monday to Friday office-based role?

Hours of work: 8:30am - 5pm

Salary in the region of £30,000 depending on experience

Permanent - Full Time position

We are looking for an experienced Transport and Delivery Coordinator to support and assist with the importation and exportation of vehicles from customers and suppliers within Europe and further afield.

The role:

You will be part of the team in organising the delivery of fleet vehicles within the UK and with partners, customers, and suppliers across the globe, ensuring that both the fleet of vehicles and the drivers delivering them follow all regulations set by the company and the driving standards associations in those countries.

  1. Liaise with suppliers to ensure all paperwork and administrative tasks have been completed in order for vehicles to be transported.
  2. Create quotations for transport movements, liaising with the Import and Export Coordinator to ensure all legislative paperwork is completed prior to any vehicle movement, by Ferry or otherwise.
  3. Ensure all purchase orders and invoices match quotations.
  4. Agree on a delivery schedule with both the customer and the manufacturing team to ensure the timeframes are suitable for both.
  5. Manage the delivery schedule, informing both the customer and the manufacturing team of any changes to the schedule.
  6. Liaise with the accounts team to ensure customer accounts are up to date or to set up a new account before agreeing on a delivery schedule and having vehicles going through the manufacturing process.
  7. Monitor and proactively manage work in progress (WIP).
  8. Analyse vehicle optimisation and assign loads to HGV capacity in compliance with H&S regulations and re-plan loads when necessary due to delays, equipment failure, or driver issues.
  9. Provide additional documentation to support the sales team when approaching a new customer and developing an existing customer.

Requirements:

Previous experience/knowledge of Vehicle Delivery and registration, HGV driver planning, legislation & guidelines.

Logistics Coordinator or Project Coordinator from a manufacturing background would be advantageous.
