As our new Transport Analysis Manager, you will play a pivotal role in developing and delivering our strategic analytic capability across one of the UK’s fastest growing regions.

Your Role And Responsibilities

As a key member of the Transport East team, you will:

  • lead the development and delivery of analytical platform and capability, providing robust evidence needed to support the successful delivery of Transport East’s strategic priorities
  • collaborate with local authorities, consultants, and national partners to influence the development of tools and analytic capabilities
  • provide expert insight to support funding bids, policy development and infrastructure planning
  • manage datasets and tools that underpin regional transport modelling and forecasting
  • represent Transport East in regional and national analytical forums
  • be the go-to person for turning complex data into compelling insights that drive real-world impact.


This role supports flexible and hybrid working, with most collaboration happening remotely and occasional in-person meetings in Ipswich or London.

You will bring:

  • excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and the ability to review and interpret complex information, with experience in transport analysis, data science or a related field
  • excellent communication skills – able to translate technical findings into accessible insights
  • a collaborative mindset and the ability to work across multiple stakeholders
  • confidence in managing projects and delivering to deadlines
  • a background in strategic modelling would be desirable.
