Job description

Our Stoke-on-Trent site is recruiting for a Transport Administrator to join their friendly team on a full-time permanent basis.

Salary: £26,500 per annum

Working hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm (Monday) and 9:00am-5:00pm (Tuesday-Friday)

The purpose of a Transport Administrator is to provide administrative support and create accurate data, working to deadlines and contributing to the overall success of the site.

Key Duties of a Transport Administrator:

  • Ensure POD and Return processes are carried out in accordance with site policies.
  • Book collections and deliveries for customers, complete relevant paperwork, and chase outstanding PODs.
  • Liaise with staff at other depots and external contacts.
  • Photocopy, print, organize, and store documents and digital information.
  • Manage inbound diaries for all customers.
  • Monitor daily POD workflow and control period-end spreadsheets.
  • Compile lists of outstanding PODs and contact hauliers to request updates.
  • Report outstanding PODs daily.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a similar role.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, analytical, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • High attention to detail and time management skills.
