Job summary

Qualifications

• Experience in transport, logistics or distribution is essential.

• Experience using transport systems is advantageous (Microlise, Tachomaster).

Responsibilities

• Support transport managers with driver briefings and debriefings to DHL standards.
• Prepare, check and reconcile delivery paperwork and PODs.
• Monitor routes and driver schedules; escalate issues as needed.
• Provide admin support to the transport team.
• Maintain accurate transport records and documentation.
• Produce tachomaster administration and compliance reports.
• Ensure compliance with transport legislation and health & safety.

Join team as a Transport Administrator in Bootle. Are you an organised administrator who thrives in a fast-paced transport environment? Do you enjoy keeping operations running smoothly and ensuring everything is in the right place at the right time?

We are looking for a Transport Administrator to join the transport team in Bootle. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced transport and logistics professionals who are passionate about accuracy, compliance, and supporting a busy operational team.

Working closely with transport managers, drivers, and operational colleagues, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the efficient day-to-day running of the transport operation.

What You'll Be Doing

• Supporting transport managers with accurate and timely driver briefings and debriefings to DHL standards
• Preparing, checking, and reconciling delivery paperwork and Proof of Delivery (POD) documents
• Monitoring vehicle routes and driver schedules through Microlise, escalating issues where necessary
• Providing administrative and operational support to the wider transport team
• Maintaining accurate transport records and documentation
• Producing Tachomaster administration and compliance reports
• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation, company procedures, and Health & Safety requirements
• Identifying and reporting operational concerns or compliance issues promptly

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience within a transport, logistics, or distribution environment (essential)
• Strong attention to detail and excellent accuracy levels
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• Experience using transport systems would be an advantage:
• Microlise
• Tachomaster
• Paragon (desirable)
• Understanding of the below would be an advantage:
• Driver Hours Regulations
• Working Time Directive (WTD)
• Transport compliance requirements
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• The ability to prioritise workloads and remain calm under pressure
