Job description

Transport Clerk – DHL TK Maxx, Ferrybridge( Pertemps recruitment working in partnership with DHL)
Location: Ferrybridge, Knottingley, West Yorkshire
Shift: Monday to Friday, 06:00 – 14:00 (40 hours per week)
Pay Rate: £12.21 per hour (£25,396.80 per annum)
Contract Type: Temp to Perm – Permanent opportunity after 12 weeks

Pertemps are delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for a Transport Clerk to join the team at a major National Distribution Centre for DHL TK Maxx in Ferrybridge. This global leader in retail logistics is looking for a committed and proactive individual to support their transport operation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Supporting Transport Shift Managers to coordinate daily transport operations
  • Assisting the Senior Transport Controller with driver debriefs and performance management
  • Ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery execution
  • Managing vehicle maintenance schedules and reporting daily defects
  • Liaising with the planning team and other depot sites
  • Ensuring legal and regulatory compliance across transport operations
  • Promoting best practice, equal opportunities and high standards of customer service
  • Handling and analysing transport data and performance reports
What We’re Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a Transport Administration/Clerk role
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word & Excel) – training provided on in-house systems
  • Understanding of LGV vehicle types and distribution processes
  • Strong communication and telephone skills
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and ability to prioritise workload
  • A confident, professional, and methodical approach
