Job description

We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Collection Planner to join our logistics and operations team. This role involves planning and coordinating customer collections, ensuring consignments are tracked and updated accurately, and delivering excellent service through clear communication and efficient administration.

What’s in it for you?

  • Salary: starting salary £26,000 per annum
  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 09:00 – 18:00
  • Occasional Saturdays (Overtime Pay)
  • No Bank Holiday Work
  • Christmas Cover on Rota Basis
  • Temp to perm or Perm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and coordinate daily collections to ensure timely and efficient service
  • Monitor and update consignment statuses throughout the delivery cycle
  • Respond to customer queries via phone and email, providing accurate updates and resolutions
  • Prepare and issue collection quotes as required
  • Perform general administrative and office tasks to support the operations team
  • Liaise with drivers, depots, and external contacts to ensure smooth logistics operations
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in line with company procedures

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in logistics, planning, or customer service roles preferred
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Confident using email, spreadsheets, and logistics software (training can be provided)
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility to work occasional Saturdays and cover Christmas shifts on a rota basis
