  • Accurate data entry, including tachograph documents.
  • Debriefing drivers and ensuring paperwork accuracy.
  • Completing all reports accurately and on time.

Job description

Gi Group is looking for a Transport Administrator to join our team in Northampton. As a Transport Administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and efficient coordination of all transportation operations.

Shift pattern for Transport Administrators:
  • 4 on 4 off, 18:00 - 06:00
Pay rate for Transport Administrators:
  • £12.96 from 18:00 to 22:00 (including holiday pay in advance, not umbrella)
  • £14.25 from 22:00 to 06:00 (including holiday pay in advance, not umbrella)

Must have a minimum of 6 months experience as a Transport Admin/Clerk.

Responsibilities include:
  • Planning daily transport schedules to meet customer requirements.
  • Conducting daily checks to ensure adequate resourcing of schedules.
  • Briefing drivers before dispatch and ensuring they are trained on systems and processes.
  • Tracking routes via HHT and ensuring driver compliance.
  • Reporting any exceptions or faults.
  • Accurate data entry, including tachograph and route documents.
  • Debriefing drivers upon return and ensuring paperwork accuracy.
  • Completing all reports accurately and on time.
  • Performing yard checks as directed.
  • Reporting on driver attendance, absence, and performance.
