Description

The Transparency team is a Front Office development team responsible for cross-asset automated pricing and risk systems, mainly for FICC derivatives. They work directly with global sales, trading, and quant teams to develop applications with pricing and risk models used in electronic trading, which are critical to TD’s trading activities worldwide. The team includes engineers in Toronto, London, New York, and Singapore.

Technology stack includes:

  • Java 11+
  • React
  • Messaging: Solace, Hazelcast, ZeroMQ, WebSocket
  • Encoding: SBE, Protocol Buffers, JSON
  • Linux environment

Position Overview

Seeking a mid to senior-level software engineer in London, UK, to join the core pricing/risk services team. Candidates should have:

  • 5+ years’ experience in FO pricing/trading/risk solutions
  • Experience working with sales/trading/quant teams on model implementation
  • Experience with eTrading/infrastructure teams on model output distribution
  • Strong Java knowledge, JDK 11+
  • Experience developing high-performance, event-driven messaging systems
  • Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong multi-threaded programming skills

Highly desirable skills include:

  • Knowledge of Interest Rate Swap products (FRA/IRS/XCCY)
  • Experience with Bloomberg APIs (BPIPE, SAPI, DAPI)
  • Java performance testing experience
  • JavaScript and React skills

Additional qualities:

  • Strong leadership in technical design and solutions, focusing on efficiency, reliability, scalability, and security
  • Ability to plan, evaluate, recommend, and support solutions adhering to standards
  • Leadership and mentorship skills
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives
  • Familiarity with Agile and SDLC processes

Other Requirements

Educational background in computer science, engineering, maths, or sciences.
