Transmission Engineer

Our client, a long-established specialist in Automatic gearboxes based in Hertfordshire, is seeking to hire a Transmission Engineer. The ideal candidate will have a background in automotive maintenance, with proficiency in working on various automatic gearboxes (CVT, DSG, etc.), and will reside within a commutable distance of March.

Responsibilities

1. Strip automatic gearboxes from a range of vehicles.
2. Disassemble transmissions and diagnose faults.
3. Perform repairs and remedial works.
4. Test repaired components to ensure functionality.
5. Install components into various vehicles.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Previous experience in a mechanical maintenance role.
• Strong automotive fitting and repair skills.
• Experience working on DSG, CVT, or other automatic gearboxes and transmissions.
• Ability to disassemble, fault-find, repair, and fit automotive components.
• Own tools required.
• Reside within a reasonable distance of March.

Working Conditions

• Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 17:30.
• 28 days of holiday inclusive of bank holidays.
• Pension scheme.
